Trail description:Drove from highway 166 to McPherson peak. Road is rough and bumpy but overall in ok condition. Made it in a stock height 2wd truck.

Trail description:Drove from 166 to the Bates Canyon turnoff in a Nissan Sentra without problems. Had to stop several times to move large rocks from the road. 10 mph average speed. Would NOT recommend traveling this route in a low clearance vehicle to anyone without extensive off road driving experience.

Trail description:
Bike ride from the 166 to SB Potrero, then Buckhorn Road to Upper Oso.

Road is in excellent shape. Great views of Cuyama, Mt. Pinos, the Sierra, and San Rafael Wilderness.

The grass is green and tall and the wildflowers are looking great.
