San Carpoford Camp Survey - 07-07-2019 - by Steve Cypher
Link: San Carpoford Camp
Date: 07-07-2019
Surveyor Name:Steve Cypher
Camp Description:Camp name should be San Carpoforo, but some signs on Spruce Creek Trail say San Carpojo. There are a few nice places to camp along San Carpoforo Creek. First is a nice big flat place by some fences. Further downstream there are some places to get through the brush to the creek, and there's a nice fire ring on a gravel bar (pictured). Some say you can find old stoves where the original camp was, but I didn't see them. The trail is not obvious between the fenced pastures and brush.
Water Source:Flowing
Water Source Details:Good flow in July. Creek is really deep in the spring.
Weather Conditions:Sunny, not too warm.
