Description:

Kerr Spring is a perennial spring located about 4.5 miles downstream of the Piedra Blanca Trailhead on the Sespe River Trail. Situated in a cool Big Leaf Maple and Big Cone Fir-shaded bend, a spur trail marked with a small cairn leads a short distance off trail to the piped spring.

Camp Description:I remember this was confusing on my first visit nine years ago. The wet patch on the trail is directly below the spring. Keep going east for a few yards and then take the the obvious but overgrown side trail.

Camp Description:to get to where you can get drinking water, (going east on the trail), when the trail stops climbing the hill and turns left, go right past a couple of fallen trees.  approx. 20 yards from main trail you will find a tube shoved into the mountain with water flowing out of it.  it is slow but will fill your water bottles.
