Description:

Hi Mountain Campground is located along Hi Mountain about halfway between Hi Mountain Lookout and the saddle.  While the campground is setup for RVs up to 20ft, the road up to Hi Mountain is treacherous both from the AG side as well as the Pozo side.  Best to check with the Forest Service or a reputable source before starting the journey up to Hi Mountain.

The camp itself is set among oak trees with commanding panoramic views.

Camp Description:I drove through the campground and did not stay. The campground was vacant, and all appeared to be in good order including the outhouse. We arrived and departed from the Pozo side of the ridge, and the road was rough and steep. I was glad that I did not try to pull my camper along the road.
