Buckhorn - Forest Rd 9N11 3 Survey - 5-15-2018 - by Chris Jones
Link: Buckhorn - Forest Rd 9N11 3
Date: 5-15-2018
Surveyor Name:Chris Jones
Trail description:Overall the road was in good shape. A couple rocks that most healthy people could move out of the way. There was one small slide area just toward Cuyama Valley from Chokecherry Spring that may require some stronger people to move boulders out of the way. The downhill side of the road was not comprimised.

Buckhorn - Forest Rd 9N11 3 Survey - 03-28-2016 - by Aaron Songer

Surveyor Name:Aaron Songer
Trail description:Bike ride from the 166 to SB Potrero, then Buckhorn Road to Upper Oso.

Road has some rough washouts and slides on this section. There is one portion of road that has about a 0.25 mile long section of all rocks. There are some pretty major slides before, at, and after Chokecherry.

I was constantly on and off the bike to get through the ruts and rocks (it may be easier for a truck but is impassable as of now). There are still sections of the road that are good shape though.

Buckhorn - Forest Rd 9N11 3 Survey - 7-11-2014 - by Los Padres Forest Association
Link: Buckhorn - Forest Rd 9N11 3
Date: 7-11-2014
Surveyor Name:Los Padres Forest Association
Trail description:The LPFA did a road patrol of the Buckhorn and fixed Chokecherry Spring.  It was badly silted in and not flowing very well.  See before and after photos below.

We've never not seen water at Chokecherry Spring.  It can be nasty but it's always wet.
