Description:

Located past the Indians, this is a car campground set amongst spectacular rock formations.  It's located at the junction of the Arroyo Seco Rd, Arroyo Seco Trail and Santa Lucia Trails.  It's a playground for explorers, boulderers and others who love wild areas. Take Highway 101 to Jolon Road, turn onto Mission Road to Del Venturi Road. Travel 18 miles to the campground.

Camp Description:Small campground.  Thought it was free, but supposedly 20 dollars a day to camp.   Beautiful country.  Saw a bobcat, turtles and newts in the stream, condors, hawks, lizards, lots of deer (no bucks), a bullfrog, etc.

Water Source Details:Water about a mile hike down into the canyon from the camp.
Weather Conditions:HOT HOT. 104.

Camp Description:Campground was a bit congested but there were a few hidden nooks where neighbors weren't right on top of each other.  Views and water were great!  Indians Guard Station is neat to visit as well.  Good times!

Water Source Details:Radical water after such a wet winter - water everywhere!
Weather Conditions:Sunny and beautiful - low 70's.
