Camp Description:The east-most camp is in decent condition. The remains of a grill box serve as a good table, with creek access close by. The larger, adjacent camp to the west has space for a group, but the large fire "ring" is more like a pyramid of rubble. We didn't progress any further west, so I'm not sure if there's more than two camps. The main Alder Creek is flowing, but East Fork Alder Creek is bone dry. No bugs to be seen.
Water Source:Flowing
Water Source Details:Clear, flowing, foot-deep at most.
Weather Conditions:Cool, cloudy.

Camp Description:Big campsite with shade. Water is flowing. If you continue down to Shady Camp and follow the creek there is a waterfall and some shallow pools. There is a landslide that has blocked the trail to Sespe hot springs. We were a large group and decided it wasn't worth the risk but we know there are other campers who have continued on the trail past the landslide block. Lots of mosquitos out and watch out for rattlesnakes.

Camp Description:I didn't stay at Alder Creek Camp, just hiked through. I hiked past several great campsites. Water was steadily flowing in Alder Creek a couple/few inches deep. The loose sand in the creek was easily dug out to produce a nice pool for collecting water. The pool quickly refilled with sand.
